Caffeinated drinks are part of gaming for many, as are snacks that are quick to make. A noodle manufacturer has now combined both and is bringing “gamer-friendly” noodles to the market.
The story of the noodle producer Nissin Group began in 1958 with the development of the world’s first instant noodles. Now they want to launch caffeinated “Cup Noodles” that are primarily aimed at gamers.
The noodles will be launched in Japan – if you want to test your stomach with this wild combination, currently, that is only possible there.
The “gamer-friendly” dish
The combination of a quick snack and caffeine while gaming is essential for many. Some gamers stock up on 120 energy drinks before important releases. A noodle manufacturer has seemingly thought: why not combine caffeine and snack? It also makes the intake of calories and caffeine somewhat faster.
What kind of noodles are these? Nissin Group plans to offer two different dishes. In addition to noodles, there will also be a curry variant with rice. Both are supposed to be “soup-free,” thus saving gamers from broth-stained hands and gaming setups while playing.
The caffeinated noodle dish will contain according to the website-translation meat and a soy-based sauce with pepper flavor and garlic. The rice dish contains – in addition to the caffeine – a curry sauce with meat and ginger.
As for the design of the “Cup Noodles,” the colorful cup is reminiscent of gaming setups with RGB lighting and is presumably aimed at exactly this target group. The information about the new gaming snack has already been picked up on Reddit:
