In Call of Duty: Warzone not only complete professionals are on the move. Every lobby has its stragglers. When these two “experts” meet in the Gulag, fun and schadenfreude are a given.
What happened? A player on reddit shared a clip that was taken after its end. As a spectator, he observed one of his teammates, who had also been eliminated and sent to the Gulag. In Warzone, eliminated players get a second chance to return to the game if they win a life-and-death fight against another recently eliminated player in a prison.
To the amusement of the spectators, neither the teammate in question nor his opponent were professionals in Call of Duty. In fact, the opposite was true.
Deadly Gulag Duel Becomes a Joke
This is how silly the Gulag fight went: The fight in the Gulag had everything one would expect from a slapstick action comedy. First, both opponents face each other with their pistols and fire without any significant effect. Then both run in panic for cover, throwing grenades aimlessly into the greenery and run around like headless chickens.
In between, they shoot at each other from close range without anyone hitting anything. The whole scene gives the impression that both players are playing a shooter for the first time in their lives and have not grasped the controls in any way.
The whole spectacle is so poor that in the end, the game calls off the round and both players are ejected from the Gulag and the round. The system seemed to decide that the current round was better off without these two “experts”.
With CoD: Cold War, there will continue to be such crazy Gulag fights. Now the developers showed that Warzone and the new CoD are becoming closer than previously thought.
