A novel bug in Call of Duty: Warzone can result in losing a victory that you thought was secure. When a player is stuck in the Gulag, gas will take you out and you can do nothing about it.
What kind of nasty bug is this? Since the release of Call of Duty: Warzone a few weeks ago, we have already seen some crazy bugs and glitches, most recently a wrestler truck. But this bug is from another dimension because it can snatch victory from those who truly deserve it.
Unfair Victory by Stalling
How can this happen? Up until a certain point in the match, you land in the Warzone after death in the Gulag. Here you can throw stones at opponents, beat them up, and fight in a 1v1 duel for your life in the battle royale.
Due to a bug, a soldier became stuck in the Gulag. He was not assigned an opponent and waited out the round until the end. Since he remained part of the match in the Gulag and the gas could not harm him there, he secured the victory without having to face the last fighters on the battlefield. “Brittn64” shared his easiest Warzone victory with us on Reddit:
In his video, you can see the last two minutes of the match, in which he only stares at the empty fight area of the Gulag and the Warzone map. Then suddenly he receives the coveted message: “Warzone Victory.” “Brittn64” then added: “When I was sent to the Gulag, there were still 12 teams left. I never got an opponent, and I was not released. I assume that the other team died in the gas.”
How is it supposed to work correctly? Although the Gulag is open for quite some time, the special respawn mechanic shuts down shortly before the end of the match. If you no longer get opponents, the imaginary penal facility is supposed to send you back to the battlefield after some time without a fight, but not this time.
Can I do anything about it? Not even the best weapons in Warzone can help you here. The Gulag is not accessible from the normal playing field, and if a player becomes stuck there, there is no way to take them out.

Will the developers do anything about this? So far, there has been no reaction from the creators at Infinity Ward. But since a guaranteed victory is being denied to the best team, a patch will likely be coming soon.
While smaller bugs or glitches appear from time to time, the impact of this error is disproportionately large. The last glitch that cost teams a guaranteed victory was fixed by the developers in record time.
