The free battle royale Call of Duty: Warzone functions as a service game, bringing new free content to the game via live seasons every few weeks. Next up is the 4th joint season with Call of Duty: Vanguard.

When is Season 4 coming? The season is live.
How big will the update be? It depends on your platform:
- PlayStation 5: 21.3 GB

- PC: 23.0 GB
- PC: 26.1 GB (with CoD MW 2019)

What about CoD: Vanguard? The current premium title is also entering Season 4 and will receive new content. There will be a new zombie map that focuses again on round-based gameplay. Additionally, two new multiplayer maps have been announced for the entire Season 4.

CoD Warzone: Season 4 / 2022 – New map and content
The highlight has already been revealed through a scavenger hunt on Twitter: the new map “Fortune’s Keep”. We will embed the overview map here:
The map is referred to by the developers as a “Resurgence” map, just like the smaller map “Rebirth Island”.

For the new map, Warzone is introducing map rotation for the first time and keeping both maps in the game. The playlist after the season start looks like this:

Caldera is also getting a facelift. The developers describe the changes as follows:
- New micro-locations and more loot
- Storage Town as a location
- Secret underground mercenary vaults
- 50% less vegetation & better visibility
- Over 12 revamped locations

CoD Warzone: Season 4 / 2022 – Battle Pass, Weapons, Operators
What does the battle pass bring? With each new season, there is a fresh battle pass that you can level up with your gameplay time. There are some items for free, such as the new weapons, a handful of CoD points, and cosmetics. If you pay just under €10, you get more than 100 items if you play through the pass.
What’s in the battle pass? Most of the pass consists of cosmetics, XP boosts, CoD points, or similar. However, there are always also gameplay-relevant content like new weapons or perks.
All gameplay-relevant content in the battle pass is always part of the free pass. So you can definitely unlock them without extra cost.
If you play a lot of CoD, then the battle pass is a fair deal: you get a total of 1,300 CoD points back when you reach a very high level.
What goodies does the battle pass offer?
- 2 new weapons for Warzone
- A new operator
- “Legendary” skins upon completion of the pass
- Many operator skins with missions for even more skins
- Cosmetics like calling cards, emblems, sprays, and talismans
- Vehicle items like battle cries or skins
- XP tokens for an experience points boost
- 10% experience boost on the battle pass
Which weapons are coming in Season 4? At the start of the season, you will receive two weapons through the new battle pass, as usual.
There is the SMG “Marco 5” with high mobility and a lot of damage at the shortest ranges. And there is the LMG “UGM-8” – high mobility is also mentioned as an advantage, as well as large magazines.
During the season, there will also be a melee weapon and an SMG added.
Who is the poster girl / poster boy in Season 4? Captain Butcher joins the fight. The captain is already known from CoD WWII from 2017 and connects the story of the Cold War era with the World War Warzone.
