In Warzone, the assault rifle “CR 56-AMAX” was introduced in Season 3 and has been dominating the meta lists of builds for the battle royale mode ever since. We present two strong setups with attachments.
On April 2, 2025, Season 3 in CoD: Black Ops 3 started, bringing a fresh battle pass and new weapons to the game. A day later, Verdansk returned to Warzone – the most popular map of the battle royale, with which everything started in 2020.
What kind of weapon is it? One of the weapons that immediately established itself as meta after its launch is the CR 56-AMAX. This assault rifle is particularly suitable for medium and long distances and can be well combined with another assault rifle or a submachine gun. We show you two setups with which you can take down your opponents in Verdansk.
Warzone: Meta Loadout for the CR 56-AMAX
The CR 56-AMAX is a fully automatic assault rifle with impressive penetration power and a fast fire rate. With the attachments we show you below, you will have hardly any recoil according to content creator and Warzone expert Stylerz, and you can mow down opponents even at high range (via YouTube).
These attachments are needed in Warzone:
- Optic: 3x Scope Willis
- Muzzle: Compensator
- Barrel: Barrel with Progressive Twist
- Underbarrel: Vertical Foregrip
- Magazine: Extended Mag II
To improve handling, you can also choose the Extended Mag I instead of the largest magazine. An alternative to the compensator is the Monolith Suppressor, which additionally increases your range.

What makes the setup strong? The CR 56-AMAX is especially suitable for longer distances with the attachments and possesses low recoil that you can control well. For close-range fights, it is advisable to carry the AK-74. To equip two primary weapons, you must use the wildcard “Overkill”.
Warzone: Loadout for the CR 56-AMAX with 8 Attachments
If you prefer to play with 8 attachments and want even less recoil, the following attachments are recommended, which wzstats.gg suggests. Note that for this build, you need to equip the wildcard “Gunfighter” to be able to equip 8 instead of just 5 attachments. You will receive the wildcard at player level 33.

With the wildcard, you can equip only a pistol or a rocket launcher as a secondary weapon. So grab another weapon and equip it instead once you land in Verdansk – or buy a second loadout drop with another weapon and combine both.
How do I unlock the weapon? You will receive the CR 56-AMAX on page 6 of the battle pass. You do not have to buy it; you can pick up the field for free as soon as you have unlocked it. To unlock 6 pages, you need to gather some XP, so it is advisable to activate XP tokens and play a few rounds in multiplayer, zombie mode, or on Verdansk.
