Where does the information come from? In an interview with GamerGen, the developers discussed the future of CoD: Warzone, the in-house battle royale mode of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare.

Will Call of Duty: Warzone be available for PS5 and Xbox Series X?
This is what the developers say: Yes, CoD: Warzone will be playable on the new console generation, revealed Taylor Kurosaki, the Narrative Director at Infinity Ward.
It was stated literally: “I know that as part of our plans, Warzone will be around (supported) for quite some time. As soon as these new systems (PS5 and Xbox Series X) are available, I’m sure we will support them.
However, the developers did not reveal whether there will be new, enhanced versions or if Warzone will simply be backwards compatible.
Also interesting: In the same interview, the developers announced that there are currently no plans to bring Warzone to Google Stadia. Players of Google’s game streaming service will therefore not be able to play Warzone in the foreseeable future.

“Will become a constant” – The future of Warzone
What happens to Warzone when the next Call of Duty comes out? When the developers were asked about the future of Warzone in relation to upcoming “Call of Duty” titles, there was an interesting response. It seems that Warzone will play a central role in Call of Duty’s future – even with future releases.
Call of Duty has been released regularly for many years now, and this has prompted the developers to rethink how best to release new content and integrate it, said Kurasaki.
Call of Duty consists of numerous different sub-series, but they are all connected in some way. Call of Duty: Warzone will serve as a continuous line that connects all the different sub-franchises of CoD. It will be exciting to see how the different sub-franchises come into and out of focus, but Warzone will remain a constant.
What does that mean exactly? It seems that Warzone will remain an integral part of Call of Duty over the next few years – even though new CoD titles with their own multiplayer and story will be released during this time.
What this will look like has not yet been officially revealed. However, many assume that new franchise titles, such as a possible new Black Ops, could then bring new maps with their own features for Warzone.
Warzone could then become an overarching and continuously evolving battle royale over the next few years – the only battle royale from CoD that all future titles would rely on and bring corresponding thematic content.
So it remains exciting around Warzone, but the future of the battle royale is likely secured for the next few years. Currently, CoD MW and Warzone, after the latest update, are struggling with some annoying issues: CoD MW, Warzone: Update brings 4 annoying issues – This is what Activision says
