Season 3 Content: Operation Monarch, Map Changes, Weapons
Season 3 is called “Classified Arms” and is fully focused on the monster migration. In an event starting on May 11, Godzilla and King Kong will attack Caldera. The whole thing will take place as part of a limited-time event mode.
We embed the trailer for the event here:
It is still unclear what the event is about. But so far, everything suggests that the monsters will actually invade Caldera, and you will need to grab large weapons to deal with the threat.
However, the map does not change only when the event starts. Right at the beginning of the season, some areas of Caldera will already change:
- Map Changes – Dig Site, Peak, Runway, Lagoon
With the new season, Caldera gets a brand new location: Dig Site. In the west of the island between Ruins and Mine, huge bones rise from the ground. It is a kind of excavation site for skeletons of giant monsters that will soon haunt the island.
Additionally, 3 other locations will receive a comprehensive overhaul. The volcanic peak Peak will be rebuilt, the buildings rearranged, and the color scheme will change.
The location Runway in the northeast will also receive new and thus more buildings. Overall, the area will be clearer after the reconstruction of this airfield, as much of the jungle in the area will disappear.
Furthermore, adjustments will be made to the location Lagoon in the west. Here, new ships have docked for you to explore.

- New Gulag
Also, at the start of the season, a new gulag arrives. The gulag map Hold is a symmetrical battlefield in the belly of a ship, with a large area in the middle and protected corridors on the sides.
Later in the season, new underground areas on Caldera will also be opened. So far, there are few details, but an official teaser gives a small hint about the adjustments:
There will also be two more changes that could slightly change the flow of play:
- Contract “Sabotage”
- You are to destroy a specific vehicle on the map and will receive an armored truck for it
- Lootable Perks
- You can now find a selection of non-meta perks in chests. Only one lootable perk is active at a time, working alongside your loadout perks
What new weapons are coming? At the start of the season, 2 new weapons will come into play through the battle pass:
- M1916 – DMR with 2-shot kills in multiplayer
- Similar weapons are considered weak in Warzone
- Nikita AVT – Assault rifle with the highest fire rate in Vanguard
- Sounds like a sniper support with exciting attachments
- Find out here how to get the weapons and what they can do
Later in the season, 2 more weapons will come into play:
- Sledgehammer – Melee weapon with considerable punch
- H4 Bixen – Submachine gun, currently without details
CoD Warzone: Season 3 with new Battle Pass
What does the Battle Pass offer? There will once again be a Battle Pass with 100 tiers for 1,000 CoD Points. It is full of cosmetics, CoD Points, and bonuses that you can unlock through playtime.
However, some items from the Battle Pass can also be acquired for free, such as the new weapons and generally gameplay-related content.
Overall, you can collect progress for the pass in four CoDs: CoD MW, Cold War, Vanguard, and Warzone share the Battle Pass. However, most of the content is primarily for Warzone and Vanguard.
Whether the pass is worth it for you, you can read here:
This is in the Battle Pass: Most items are purely cosmetic and provide you with skins, stickers, or business cards. However, new weapons and gear can also be found in the pass.
If you play a lot of CoD, the Battle Pass is a fair deal: You will receive a total of 1,300 CoD Points back if you reach a very high tier.
Additionally, there are other goodies, including the following:
- 2 new weapons for Warzone
- A new operator
- Legendary rewards at the end of the pass
- Many operator skins with missions for even more skins
- Cosmetics like business cards, emblems, sprays, and talismans
- Vehicle items like battle cries or skins
- XP tokens for an experience points boost
- 10% experience boost on the battle pass
We embed the action trailer for the Battle Pass of Season 3 here:
Who is the poster boy / poster girl of Season 3? If you buy the Battle Pass, you will receive the operator Mateo Hernandez. He is part of S.O.T.F. Harpy and likes to fire with his LMG.
CoD Warzone: Playlist for the upcoming weeks
The playlists for the upcoming weeks are already known, and we will embed the image with the info here:
The new Season 3 with the Godzilla event has potential. However, it remains to be seen how the monster attack on Caldera will be implemented.
If you still play a round or two on Rebirth Island until then, we now have a special for the best weapons on Rebirth Island.
We also want to know what you hope for in the new season. Is there perhaps a bug that has been bothering you for ages, or do you have ideas for cool map changes? We enjoy discussing with you in the comments.
