We present to you 3 weapons with setups for Call of Duty: Warzone that many may not have on their radar – but should. Because these underrated firearms are a strong alternative to numerous meta weapons like M4, Grau, RAM-7, or M13. Perhaps you’ll find a new favorite piece for the Battle Royale.
Weapon recommendation from an expert: The well-known and respected “Call of Duty” expert TheXclusiveAce has presented his top 3 underrated weapons including setups for Warzone, the in-house Battle Royale of CoD: Modern Warfare, in his new video.
This involves 3 off-meta weapons, firearms that are not used by many players. However, they are much more than just a welcome change from the common favorites. All 3 are strong and depending on your playstyle, you can indeed dominate in the Warzone.
So it’s worth trying out these underrated guns. Who knows, maybe you’ll find a new favorite weapon for the Battle Royale, even if it doesn’t belong to the meta. Especially since with many weapons, it often only takes slight nuances to determine which weapon suits you best and which one you can use to succeed.

These are the weapons in question: The 3 best off-meta weapons that according to TheXclusiveAce are underestimated include
- the light machine gun (LMG) G34
- the submachine gun (SMG) Striker 45
- and the recently introduced LMG Bruen Mk9
These weapons are not among the strongest when it comes to numeric values. Still, they are worth a look.
In this article, you’ll learn what makes them so recommendable in the eyes of the expert and get a setup to further improve each weapon.
The setups are just examples and can be adjusted to your individual preferences if those differ significantly from the options presented here.
Here we have embedded his English video for you, but we will explain everything important in German below:
The machine gun G34
Here’s why you should try it now: What many don’t know is that this MG received a significant hidden buff with the last major CoD update 1.20. After pressing the trigger, the G34 starts firing with a delay.
This delay of more than 300 milliseconds was one of the biggest disadvantages of the weapon but is nearly completely eliminated with the patch. The weapon now responds much more directly and pleasingly.
Moreover, the MG34 kills faster than all fully automatic base weapons. It has a very high rate of fire, deals significant damage, and has excellent range.
In direct 1vs1, the MG wipes out nearly every opponent – especially when you are already aiming. Then, hardly any other weapon can keep up in terms of killing power, according to the expert.
Here’s why it’s not part of the meta: The weapon does have its disadvantages. Primarily, it is an LMG, meaning it is slow and unwieldy (although this can be improved with attachments). Additionally, due to its high rate of fire, it consumes ammunition quickly and takes a relatively long time to reload.
Who suits the G34? The G34 is not the perfect all-rounder. But with the right playstyle, this LMG can literally melt your opponents. Especially if you prefer to fight defensively and at range, the weapon can shine in Warzone. But even at short distances, it wipes everything out if you are prepared for the enemy.
Try the G34 with the following setup: TheXclusiveAce focuses on giving the G34 the highest possible ADS speed, better reload speed, and more ammunition to counter the weaknesses of this otherwise strong weapon.
He uses the blueprint named “Lötbrenner” (for better iron sights, but it’s not mandatory) with the following attachments:
- Muzzle: Suppressor (Monolith)
- Laser: Tactical Laser
- Stock: FSS Close Quarters Stock
- Ammo: 100-round belt
- Extra: Sleight of Hand
The submachine gun Striker 45
Here’s why you should try it now: In combination with the .45 hollow point bullets, you benefit not from the high mobility of an SMG, but you also hold an extremely precise weapon in your hands.
With this optional attachment, the weapon’s firing behavior changes. It then fires a 2-shot burst that is very precise and deals high damage – all over an absurdly long range for an SMG.
If you score headshots with it, you can wipe out unarmored enemies with what feels like one shot (burst); for an armored enemy, you only need slightly more time with sufficient precision. It really goes very fast.
In short: If you hit the head, which is quite easy with a little practice, it wipes out nearly every opponent at medium to long distances with only a few shots – and in no time. Additionally, you are very fast.
Here’s why it’s not part of the meta: The weapon has essentially only one disadvantage in this configuration that prevents a top-tier placement in the meta: the amount of ammunition.
Per magazine, you only have 12 shots with the hollow point option. So if you lack precision or face multiple enemies in a hectic fight, you might come up short with the Striker.
Who suits the Striker 45? Anyone who likes to be fast and relies on the mobility of SMGs, but at the same time is looking for an extremely deadly and precise weapon for medium to long distances should definitely try this Striker version.
Especially if you often play solos, where you encounter mostly single opponents, you could dominate with this setup – precision required.
Try the Striker 45 with the following setup: Here too, TheXclusiveAce tries to compensate for the weapon’s weakness by making the reload faster. He also focuses on damage, range, and faster aiming. He uses the following attachments:
- Muzzle: Suppressor (Monolith)
- Barrel: 400 mm Stainless Steel
- Extra: Sleight of Hand
- Grip: FTAC G5 EXO
- Ammo: 12-round .45 hollow point magazine
The machine gun Bruen Mk9
Here’s why you should try it now: This new weapon essentially allows you to create a hybrid build between LMG and assault rifle, similar to the secret G36 from the Holger-26. This way, you benefit from the advantages of both weapon types.
You can significantly reduce the biggest disadvantages of machine guns with the right attachments and power up the Bruen Mk9 to a really strong alternative.
Because the damage of the weapon is excellent, armored targets are not a problem. Moreover, the recoil is very easy to control, allowing you to accurately engage enemies even at long distances. The weapon’s range is also impressive.
Here’s why it’s not part of the meta: It is, after all, an LMG, so the weapon has a generally slower handling compared to popular assault rifles and offers less mobility. However, this can be well mitigated with the right attachments.
Additionally, the weapon is not part of the meta partly because it is simply not as widespread and harder to access than some competitors. But that is likely to change soon: CoD MW & Warzone: Unlocking the new LMG too annoying? It will be easier soon
Who suits the Bruen Mk9? For all who like to rely on the firepower of LMGs but want to have the feeling of holding an assault rifle.
Especially if you play a bit more defensively and are looking for a weapon for all distances (except sniper distance), you should feel right at home with the Bruen Mk9.
Try the Bruen Mk9 with the following setup: We from MeinMMO have already dealt extensively with this weapon: Bruen Mk9 in CoD MW & Warzone – The best attachments and setups for the new LMG
TheXclusiveAce uses the blueprint “Spannungsspitze” from the shop for his Bruen setup, but this is not mandatory. Otherwise, he focuses on damage, range, stability, agility, faster reloads, and increased ADS speed.
- Muzzle: Suppressor (Monolith)
- Optic: Cronen LP945 Mini
- Stock: Standard Stock
- Ammo: 60-round magazine
- Grip: Textured Grip Tape
