At the end of a mission in the DMZ mode of Call of Duty: Warzone 2, you either have a successful helicopter departure or a dishonorable death. A clip now shows that you still need to be hellishly careful even in the helicopter. Otherwise, you might fall victim to a sneaky opponent.
With the DMZ mode, Call of Duty: Warzone 2 attempts to tap into the extraction shooter market and is finding considerable success. The mode is popular and introduces the extraction genre to many new players.
You play against NPCs and real players at the same time, with enemy factions potentially causing a swift end.

What’s the problem? Once you finally sit in the helicopter at the end of the mission, a sense of relaxation often sets in, especially if there hasn’t just been an intense battle – all missions are completed, all keys have been used.
However, you should continue to play with full attention until you’ve actually left the map. Because the windshields of the extraction helicopters are susceptible to bullets:
The clip on Reddit perfectly shows the dangers you still face even in the helicopter. The thread creator “SabersEnd” sails with his parachute onto the nose of the helicopter and takes out an opponent completely.
In a round of DMZ, you should really keep your internal danger radar activated until the very end. Especially during the extraction, many players show no mercy. Only relax when the screen goes black and the rewards start coming in.
If you are in the helicopter and only knocked out and not completely dead, the extraction counts for you.
Often it’s the small knowledge advantage that makes a difference in Call of Duty. Try the unexpected, experiment, and soak up every little tip – this way you will gradually get better.
