In Call of Duty: Warzone 2 there are several ways to get your own weapons into the match. MeinMMO shows you the details.
When Warzone 1 was released, it brought a small revolution to the battle royale genre: You could bring your own weapons into the match via loadout drops. Warzone 2 also scores points with this feature.
However, there are a total of 4 ways to bring your customized weapons into the game:
- Weapons at the buy stations
- Loadout deliveries at the buy stations
- Strongholds / Black Site
- Free loadout drops

CoD Warzone 2: Loadouts – Buy Stations
How do I get my weapons here? The buy stations work like they did before in Warzone. You collect cash throughout the match and can get items at the buy stations.
However, they are not exactly the same as before. Each station on the map now has its own inventory – all offer you different items and vary their selection slightly.
Here you can buy your primary weapon – but this is not your complete loadout, as there are no perks here, only the primary weapon. You need 2,500 cash for this. You will only get the weapon that is in your created loadout in the primary weapon slot.
Note: The outlines of the weapons may not look exactly as they do at your gunsmith.
After release, the ability to buy loadout crates like in Warzone 1 was patched in. The prices depend on the team size:
- Solos – $8,000
- Duos – $16,000
- Trios – $24,000
- Quads – $32,000
CoD Warzone 2: Loadouts – Strongholds & Black Site
How do I get my weapons here? Strongholds and Black Sites are areas guarded by NPCs. Capturing them can be quite tricky, as the NPCs are armed with armor and even riot shields.
In each match, 3 strongholds (English: stronghold) are available to you. They are opened just before the first gas circle begins to close.
If the stronghold symbol on the map is red, it means that the area is currently being attacked by other players. This is what the symbols look like:
If you clear a stronghold, you will get your complete Warzone loadout with perks. However, the perk packages cannot be adjusted shortly after release. Additionally, you will receive a key for a “Black Site” – an area that is even more heavily guarded by NPCs.
The strongholds, by the way, have a certain cooldown period after clearing and will then be refilled and reactivated for other players.
CoD Warzone 2: Loadouts – Event with Loadout Drops
How do I get my weapons here? This event starts very late in the match – after almost 15 minutes. Also, the crates are only active for a short time.
Once the event has been announced, watch the sky and your mini-map – this way you can see directly where the drops are coming down. But be warned – the loadout drops are for all players, no longer just for you. Expect fire from unknown directions.
