Where do the weapon info come from? To provide you with the best weapons, we at MeinMMO regularly look at the latest player trends, analyze data, and sprinkle in a dash of our own experience.
Every player perceives weapons differently, and some may be better or worse for individuals. Therefore, we place great importance on ease of play and good handling in our list. We also show alternatives that may deal better damage but come with certain handling drawbacks.

The best weapons by weapon class in CoD: Vanguard
Is there an OP weapon in Vanguard? Although some OP weapons have already been nerfed, there are still some things in the game that are too strong. The robot assault rifle offers you an insane time-to-kill through 2 attachments that enhance damage, and the submachine gun MP40 still has a 2-shot setup, just like the LMG Bren.
The combat shotgun is also way too strong and takes down enemies up to 7 meters with a small shell load.

What makes the robot strong? The fast-firing assault rifle excels in good control and can deal you a lot of damage. The combination of barrel and ammunition gives you an outstanding time-to-kill of 158 milliseconds, which only increases after 78 meters with the suggested setup.
You need 3 hits for a kill and it doesn’t matter where you hit your enemy. A larger optic helps with precision at range.
Alternative assault rifles
The robot is currently quite a bit ahead of its competition, and we currently do not recommend another assault rifle.

What makes the MP40 strong? Like the robot, it is the combination of the barrel and ammunition that gives you a much too powerful submachine gun. You only need 2 shots for a kill at close range, and even if your bullets hit the enemy’s knee, you benefit from the absurd strength.
Alternative submachine guns
After the vital nerf of the Type 100, the MP40 is by far the strongest option among submachine guns for close combat. We currently do not recommend any other submachine gun.

What makes the combat shotgun strong? Do you want to slide like crazy through the corridors of the small map “The House” and get a kill with every hit? Get the setup and wreak a little havoc – the combination of the attachments “Sawed-off”, “16 Gauge” and “Buck and Slug” allows you to land one-shot kills at astonishingly high distances for a shotgun.
Fire the weapon from the hip and rarely aim down sights.
Alternative shotguns
Here too, we currently cannot suggest an alternative. The setup of the combat shotgun is extremely strong, and a nerf is definitely coming for it.

What makes the Bren strong? This LMG delivers 2-shot kills with this setup but is not easy to control. Try the Bren in single-shot mode – this makes the weapon extremely accurate and very easy to play, although it is specialized at range.

Alternative LMGs
The Bren surpasses its competitors through high damage and strong control. However, if you want to play an LMG without relying on single shots, then try the MG42 and rattle through the lobbies.

What makes the STV40 strong? It sounds strange – but at the moment the STV40 is the strongest sniper rifle in Vanguard if you want high damage. With this setup, you are very slow in aiming, but as long as you don’t hit your enemy’s limbs, the opponent goes down. The distance to the enemy does not matter either.

What makes the Kar98k strong? As in battle royale Warzone, the Kar 98k also performs well in Vanguard. In multiplayer, you take down enemies with a headshot or a hit to the chest. This setup optimizes the aim time and is suitable for quickscoping. You can fill in the empty attachments “Perk” and “Kit” according to your own preferences.
The sniper rifle provides the optimal compromise of speed and damage – the other two sniper rifles are either slightly easier to handle and slower (Mosin-Nagant) or faster, but deal less damage (Type 99).
Alternative assault rifles
- Type 99 – Faster to aim, but the headshot must land
Currently, there are several options in multiplayer that are far too strong for good balance. For almost every weapon class, there are OP weapons that further reduce the already short time-to-kill. Rely on these weapons if you’re not leveling up specifically.
