The first major double XP event for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 is coming up. With the start of Mid-Season 1, you can benefit from a long weekend with double XP. You can find all the information about the event on MeinMMO.
On December 14th at 7 PM, Mid-Season 1 of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 will start. There will be a new map for the multiplayer of MW2, the first CoD raid for the Spec-Ops mode, and new modes for Warzone 2.
To properly celebrate “Season 1 Reloaded”, a double XP event will also start. You will receive double XP for your account and your weapons for 4 days. For players on PlayStation, the event will even be online for 5 days.

How long does the event last? Unlike the first mini XP event at the end of November, the new event runs for up to 5 days:
- All platforms
- Start: Thursday, 15.12.22 at 7 PM
- End: Monday, 19.12.22 at 7 PM
- PS4 & PS5
- Start: Wednesday, 14.12.22 at 7 PM
- End: Monday, 19.12.22 at 7 PM
Players on PlayStation get 24 hours more double XP and can start with the Mid-Season release on December 14th. For all other platforms, it starts on December 15th.
Which XP is doubled? You get double XP for your account level and also for your weapon XP.

What’s included in Mid-Season 1? The update will come on December 14th at 7 PM and the following contents have been announced:
- New weapon: Chimera
- PvE content: The first CoD raid
- New map for MW2: Shipment
- Balancing changes
- New modes for Warzone 2 and CoD MW2
- New cosmetics
- Social feature “Groups”
- Gameplay statistics for Warzone 2

Why do PlayStation players get an extra day? This is part of the cooperation between Call of Duty and PlayStation. PS players enjoy some advantages over other platforms:
- every season free combat packs
- two additional loadouts
- bonus for the battle pass bundle
- monthly double XP events

As a result, double XP events always run one day longer on PlayStation consoles. Experience shows that it is often the first day of an XP event that is reserved only for players on Sony consoles.
