What are the Games of Summer? The big Update “Season 5 Reloaded” not only brought the new Verdansk Stadium map with football. Since August 28, 2020, you can try a kind of CoD Olympics.
The Games of Summer can be started for free by players in Warzone or Modern Warfare. You will then compete as a solo player in one of 5 disciplines.
The faster and better you complete these, the higher the medal you receive. There are bronze, silver, and gold. The higher the medal, the more loot you get.
What loot is available? First of all, every participant receives a weapon charm as a reward. In addition, there are special rewards for each discipline, including:
- Legendary weapon blueprints
- XP boosters
- Vehicle skins.
- Vehicle horns
- Calling cards
If you receive a higher medal on your first attempt, you will also receive the rewards of the lower tiers. However, each reward can only be achieved once per discipline.
If you complete all five disciplines with gold, you will receive the blueprint for “Juliet”, a legendary assault rifle designed for precision.
What about the country? In addition to these rewards, each medal earns points for the player’s respective country. This is determined by the origin of the player account.
The points for each country are updated daily, and the top 15 countries are displayed on the in-game leaderboards. Therefore, those who diligently collect points for their country can ultimately help crown that nation as the champion of the Games of Summer. So play hard and collect gold for your homeland!
How long do the Games of Summer last? The Olympic event in Call of Duty will run until September 7, 2020. So you can collect medals until then.
