In Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, a player stole an execution kill from a teammate. He “apologized” in a unique way – and thousands are celebrating it.
This is currently lifting the spirits of many: While the delay of Season 4 for CoD: Modern Warfare and Call of Duty: Warzone is frustrating some players, a funny clip on Reddit is bringing joy to thousands of players.
An accident and the subsequent apology provide many laughs. The relevant post on Reddit has almost 40,000 upvotes after about 3 days.
What exactly does the clip show? Accidents in the multiplayer of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare happen all the time and everywhere. Whether it’s an accidental team kill or a stolen execution – in the heat of battle, such mistakes are sometimes just unavoidable.
However, only a few actually apologize for it. One player, however, valued his honor so much that he apologized in a way that made thousands of players laugh and shower him with compliments.
The Reddit user and CoD player TERR1TORYman was playing on the popular map Shoot House during a multiplayer match and was lining up for an execution kill.
But just as his dog was about to bite into the opponent and rip him to shreds, another player ran by and simply knocked out TERR1TORYman’s victim during the execution animation, stealing his guaranteed kill. Not a very nice move, as a “kill steal” is frowned upon by most CoD players.
What happened next was probably unexpected by anyone. A bit incredulously, TERR1TORYman looked at the kill-stealer. He had already figured out the whole situation and was looking embarrassed at the ground – a typical sign of “Oh, oh. I just really messed up.” But shortly after, he apologized with an unexpected gesture: he straightened himself up – just like an honorable samurai warrior. But not with a sword, rather with a Molotov cocktail. But see for yourself:
What are the players saying? This action is being celebrated massively in the post. Many comments say it is the funniest thing seen in Modern Warfare recently. One can almost feel his guilt and regret.
The kill-stealer receives a lot of praise for his honorable exit. Many say that such honor and decency are hardly found these days – a true gentleman, as it ought to be.
Many also celebrate the unfortunate player for something quite different. Numerous players find it remarkable that he manages to stand in the otherwise absolutely deadly middle lane of Shoot House for so long without getting shot to pieces in the blink of an eye.
