Call of Duty: Modern Warfare received a new major update on January 22. Included is the crossbow. We’ll tell you what’s in the patch.
What are the highlights of the update? The new patch 1.13 was released for PC and consoles PS4 and Xbox One at the same time. It brought among other things the new weapon crossbow, which you can unlock through a challenge.
Another new feature is 5 additional slots for loadouts.
What is special about the patch? The patch is especially large for PC. According to reports on reddit, you need to download almost 48 gigabytes.
The download is also large for consoles:
- On Xbox One, you first need to download 18 gigabytes and then another 9 gigabytes for the multiplayer and additional content from the Spec Ops co-op mode.
- On PS4, 13.5 gigabytes are required, as well as 9 gigabytes for Multiplayer Pack 2 and an additional 12 gigabytes for the Special Ops Pack (co-op mode).
However, the innovations are actually limited.
No new maps or modes, but many bug fixes

If you master the challenge, the weapon will be automatically unlocked.
What else is in the patch? Besides the two major innovations, there was a playlist update:
- Capture the Flag is introduced.
- Shoot the Ship is back.
- For this, Shoot House 24/7 has been removed.
- The map Aniyah Palace is also back in rotation.
- The map Krovnik Farmland has been temporarily removed from rotation for bug fixing.
Otherwise, the patch mainly consists of bug fixes and small adjustments to the weapons:
- One bug fix targets the collision bug that has been bothering players for weeks.
- Invisible triggers in the bushes have also been adjusted.
- There were adjustments to the trophy system that increased the protective radius and reduced damage from an explosion.
- The extended magazine of the RAM-7 now holds 50 instead of 45 rounds.
- The MK2 Carbine receives increased bullet penetration.
- The FN Scar 17 now has less recoil for the first shots of a burst.
Additionally, there were adjustments to the Call of Duty League and a change to the UI of the Battle Pass on PC.
