New Weapon RAM-7 – Characteristics and Playstyle
What defines the RAM-7? The assault rifle features a bullpup design and strongly resembles the TAR-21. Its characteristics are similar as the assault rifle is described in-game as a compact weapon for close-quarters confrontations.

How does the weapon feel? Initially, the weapon feels like a hybrid of an assault rifle and a submachine gun (SMG). The high rate of fire and noticeable recoil create a very vague experience without attachments.
However, with attachments to enhance control, it performs really well and can also excel at longer ranges.
In addition to improving control, a larger magazine should be considered. The high rate of fire sends the 30 rounds out quickly, and the possible upgrade to 45 rounds can be helpful here. With the Quick Reload perk, you reload faster, which is particularly useful in critical situations.
RAM-7 vs. M4A1 – Comparing the Weapons
How does the weapon perform in comparison? As seen in the image above, the base stats of the weapons are very similar. However, initially, the weapon plays much more challenging compared to the M4.
With attachments, the weapons become very similar. However, it should be noted that the M4 is significantly more versatile here and offers more attachments for specialization while remaining effective at longer ranges.
The RAM-7 assault rifle showers opponents with bullets thanks to its high rate of fire, and its ADS speed is the best in its class. The weapon deals the same damage as the M4A1 but has a higher rate of fire.

What does the recoil look like? The recoil pattern of both weapons is seen above with a mobility build for run & gun action, and below with attachments to improve range and precision.
The RAM-7 tends to have a recoil that goes left and is somewhat more horizontal, while the M4 pulls right and goes up more strongly.
With a run & gun build, the RAM-7 has a better bullet distribution than the M4. However, due to its high rate of fire, the recoil is also somewhat more difficult to control.
However, if you really tend towards this style, you are better off with the MP7 and our ultimate run & gun build.
Which is better? Fully equipped, the RAM-7 can hold its own. The high rate of fire takes down opponents at close range and even at medium distance, kills are no problem.
The ranges of both assault rifles are limited, and here the M4 offers better modification possibilities. However, at shorter distances to the opponent, the RAM-7 can easily keep up, and is even better then.
The M4 possesses better all-rounder characteristics, which is the strength of the weapon, while the RAM-7 shines with more damage but lacks the corresponding range.

How can I get the new assault rifle? The assault rifle is part of the Season 1 Battle Pass of Modern Warfare and can be unlocked. The new weapons Holger-26 and RAM-7 can be unlocked over time.
The weapon is available at Battle Pass level 31 and is not so quick to reach. However, it is definitely worth it! A weapon that is so close to one of the strongest guns should be kept an eye on.
The Battle Pass also includes many rewards besides the weapons, but requires some time to unlock. The XP tokens can help with leveling up, but they are also quickly used up and not entirely fair.
