Season 2 Preload: Start and Size
When does the preload start? So far, it seems that the preload has only started on BattleNet. In the past, other platforms have also followed suit and made the download available at least one day before release – due to the enormous amount of data.

What weapons and attachments will there be? In Season 2, fans will again be able to unlock new weapons and attachments. The battle pass and events are your points of contact. The following are known:

- Free for all, as you receive a new weapon for each kill. Once you have cycled through all the weapons, you win.
- Third Wheel Gunfight (Mid-Season)
- A 3v3. The team with the most kills wins.
- Couples Dance Off (Mid-Season)
- A 2v2, where you compete against each other in the modes Face Off Team Deathmatch, Face Off Domination, and Face Off Kill Confirmed.
Multiplayer: All Maps of Season 2
What maps will Season 2 bring? A total of 5 new maps are expected to appear in Season 2 – three of them at launch, while the last two will appear in mid-season. The following are known:
- Bounty (Core, 6v6, size: Medium, new)
- Dealership (Core, 6v6, size: Medium, new)
- Lifeline (Strike, 2v2 or 6v6, size: Small, new)
- Bullet (Strike, 2v2 or 6v6, size: Small, new)
- Grind (Core, 6v6, size: Medium, remaster from BO2)
Season 2 Zombies: New Map and Content
When Season 2 starts, all players will gain access to the new map “The Tomb.” In this, the story of the protagonists will continue. After the end of “Citadelle des Morts”, the four zombie-slayers must now visit an ancient excavation site.
The map is said to be similar to Liberty Falls – tight, with a high replay value and plenty of Easter eggs. In addition, there will be a new wonder weapon that players may recognize from an older title.
Lastly, you will also get an iconic SMG that has not been revealed in detail. More information is expected to be released in the coming days.
New Items for the Zombie Mode
Treyarch has naturally also prepared new items for you to make Season 2 feel fresh while you slaughter zombies. The following can be expected:

Warzone: New Perks and Focus on QoL
What information is known for Warzone? Warzone is currently focusing on gameplay tuning and “Quality of Life” changes. Nevertheless, two new perks are set to make it into the game at the release of Season 2:
- Reactive Armor (at launch)
- Your armor regenerates by 50% if you have not taken damage in the last 5 seconds
- Low Profile (Mid-Season)
- You move much faster when you are lying down, crouched, or incapacitated.
In terms of adjustments, reload rates and the switch between your weapons, jump mechanics, transitions into parachute mode, and audio will be adjusted. Additionally, you can look forward to some bug fixes that are intended to stabilize the game.
