What is the story behind the sniper kill? The CoD community on Reddit loves clips that capture special performances on the battlefield. Recently, the Redditor Anotherlevel34 posted just such a clip.

What is special about the kill? The special thing about it is the extreme distance to the opponent. At that range, he can only be spotted as a pixel, but is marked by an ally. Additionally, there’s the ballistic trajectory of the projectile. The shooter must know his weapon inside and out and lead appropriately. This is anything but easy, especially at such a distance.
Accordingly, the comments clearly show that hardly anyone has seen a kill over such a distance, let alone accomplished one. Some didn’t even know that kills at such distances are possible at all.
How was it measured? The ping system was used here. Since a shot was fired from a prominent point to another, namely from the prison to the control tower on the airport premises, the whole thing can be easily verified.
