Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 has been around for a few months now. One would think the major bugs at launch would have disappeared and only minor issues would need to be addressed by the team, but that is not the case. Every update brings worse bugs and players believe the game is unplayable.
What’s wrong with MW2? Modern Warfare 2 is currently in the 3rd Mid-Season. Almost 7 months have passed since the release. One would think that’s enough time to eliminate critical bugs and errors in the game, but that is still not the case.
Many severe bugs and errors are entering Modern Warfare 2 thanks to new patches, and they are so destructive that fans no longer want to deal with them. An example was shared on Reddit.
“People from the AAA studio can’t even test patches anymore”
What bug is it about? Reddit user mactraxer posted a clip of him trying to join a match of Modern Warfare 2. The lobby was loading and enough players were found. Everything seemed to be running smoothly until the fans landed on the map.

Players now had to deal with massive FPS drops and screen flickering, issues that have no place in a fast-paced PvP shooter like MW2. mactraxer also reports that this bug has only been present since the latest update.
Many Reddit users are reporting similar bugs and are questioning the update policy of Infinity Ward, as such broken updates have occurred before.
What do players say? Fans in the comments under the Reddit post are upset. They do not understand how such a large development team like Activision and Infinity Ward cannot test their patches and updates to notice such errors. Users commented as follows:
