Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 invites you to the beta in October. We will show you when it starts and how to participate.
The beta for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 is approaching and gives you the opportunity to take a first look at this year’s CoD installment.
Unlike in previous years, PlayStation players will not receive early access to the beta, all platforms will start simultaneously.
Black Ops 7 Beta: Release and Preload – When does it start?
When is the beta? The open beta for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 starts on Sunday, October 5, 2025, at 7:00 PM and ends on October 8. If you want to start a few days earlier, there is also early access for everyone who pre-orders the shooter. With early access, you can play starting October 2 at 7 PM.
Pre-Order Beta – Start and End
- Start: October 2, 2025 at 7:00 PM
- End: No end/ transitions smoothly into the open beta
Open Beta – Start and End
- Start: October 5, 2025 at 7:00 PM
- End: October 8, 2025 at 7:00 PM
How can you play the early access? Early access to the beta is reserved for pre-orders of Black Ops 7. However, you can also participate if you have an eligible Game Pass subscription. In the beta of Black Ops 6, subscribers of Game Pass Console, Game Pass PC, and Game Pass Ultimate were able to participate in early access.
Is there a preload? Probably yes. Currently, no details about the preload are known, but you could download the beta for Black Ops 6 last year 2 days before the start of early access.
CoD Black Ops 7 Beta Code – Do you need one?
Do you need a code to play the pre-order beta? No, unless you pre-ordered the physical edition of CoD Black Ops 7.
- Pre-order of digital editions can simply download and play Black Ops 7. No code is required.
- Even “Game Pass” subscribers do not need a code.
- Pre-order of a physical edition need a code for registration to the Black Ops 7 beta. You will likely find the code on your retailer’s receipt.
