What was the situation? The brutally difficult action RPG Elden Ring confronts you with tough bosses, including Margit. But while a Margit “only” kills you, other bosses do very different things to you, and death is just the beginning!
This is what Elden Ring player and reddit user the_goon12 had to experience firsthand. He faced off against a gargoyle monster, and the battle raged back and forth indecisively.
Then the mini-boss suddenly started twitching strangely. A glitch, the player probably thought with delight, and wanted to take advantage of his opponent’s disadvantage.
But then it happened: the health points of the_goon12 suddenly dropped sharply, and before he knew it, he was dead. But the mini-boss had only just begun. Because the twitching of the boss was a fast sequence of “sitting down” and standing up again.
The gesture is commonly known in gaming as “Tea-Bagging,” and the opponent did not stop even when the character of the_goon12 lay smashed on the ground.

What’s up with Tea-Bagging? Tea-Bagging is a notorious gesture to humiliate an opponent after defeating him. This action is particularly popular in competitive online shooters, such as Call of Duty or Halo Infinite.
Here’s how it goes: When an opponent is killed, you use your character’s crouch function and squat over the opponent’s corpse. It implies waving your genital area over the opponent or nudging them with it.
The gesture is considered a serious humiliation, and in some games, like Overwatch, it is even prohibited.
This is also how user the_Goon12 understood it, as he titled his post “I have never been so thoroughly dishonored in my life!”
How did the community react? The video of the “death by tea-bag” went viral on reddit, and fans thoroughly enjoyed the misfortune of the victim. Comments like:
