What Makes Katagawa Ball Special
This is what the boss opponent can do: Katagawa Ball is a flying metal ball that can attack you with various assaults.
First, it’s noticeable: The boss can take a lot of hits. Katagawa Ball has three health bars: Two for shields and one for armor. Getting through that, I must announce, is quite exhausting.
Offensively, Katagawa Ball uses various laser attacks, launching at you in bombs, beams, and wave forms. They usually cover a large area and are difficult to evade.
How to Defeat Katagawa Ball
The Right Level: You should not face Katagawa Ball below level 15. If you have not reached this level yet, it’s better to gather some experience points through side quests.
Those who still have problems at level 15 should consider taking a break from the fight and leveling up further.
Use the Right Weapons: Since Katagawa Ball is strongly defensive, you need the right ammunition.
With the wrong weapons, you take too long to get through the shields and armor, and you use up too much ammunition. You should definitely have stocked up your ammunition adequately before you start.
- To break the metal armor (yellow bar), it’s best to use corrosion weapons.
- You will best dispose of the shield (blue bar) with shock weapons.

Evade Attacks: Against Katagawa Ball it’s worth going into cover. Because: Katagawa Ball has really strong attacks that can take away a lot of health and shields at once.
- If you go up the stairs, you’ll find some containers behind which you can find protection.
- A good place to hide is also the turbine, which you can use as a shield. It gives you a small window to look through and shoot when it’s safe.
However, the area damage attacks remain dangerous, even if you hide well.

You Need Patience: The fight remains a game of patience until the end. If you need to leave cover, keep moving. Always keep Katagawa Ball in sight and under fire – otherwise, the ball may suddenly appear behind you.
This is the Weak Point: Katagawa Ball’s eye is particularly vulnerable and suffers critical hits if you hit it. Additionally, hitting the extended side plates throws him off balance.
If you follow these tips, the ball shouldn’t be too much of a problem for you.
Is there a legendary weapon as loot? Once you have defeated Katagawa Ball, it’s time to collect. Along with a quest item, there is also loot. It’s possible but not guaranteed that the boss drops a legendary weapon. Katagawa Ball does not have its own legendary weapon.
