In Borderlands 3 there is also a lot of new loot with the new DLC. We present to you 6 weapons that are worth searching for.
These weapons are worth it: In the new DLC, there are many new weapons. Thanks to high drop rates, they can be found quickly – but be careful not to discard any good ones!
Here you can find 6 legendary weapons from the new DLC that you should take a closer look at.
Insider
This is the Insider: The Insider is a Maliwan shotgun. This means it shoots lasers instead of bullets. The special thing about this gun is that it avoids the main weakness of other Maliwan weapons: It has no reload time before firing a shot.
Additionally, it deals decent damage and comes in all available elements. It even has splash damage and compensates for inaccurate aiming – however, be careful not to blow yourself up at close range with the Insider.
Where do I find the Insider? For the Insider, you need a bit of patience, as there is currently no clear farming spot for the shotgun. However, it appears often as a world drop in the DLC – especially when you play at a high Mayhem level.
Cocky Bastard & Skullmasher
This is Cocky Bastard and Skullmasher: Both weapons are fairly strong sniper rifles. The Cocky Bastard is especially suited for players who are interested in shock damage against shields: The rifle deals 100% additional shock damage on critical hits. The damage is quite high – the weapon resembles the powerful Wedding Invitation, which mainly deals fire damage.
The Skullmasher is a returner from previous Borderlands games. It fires 5 projectiles at once with a relatively high fire rate. It is very useful at medium ranges, as the additional projectiles provide a certain spread.
Where do I find the two snipers? The two sniper rifles are unfortunately quite rare and difficult to find. They primarily come from the new portal chests in the DLC. So try to open as many of these chests as possible.
Oldridian
This is the Oldridian: The Oldridian is an SMG from Hyperion, meaning it comes with a built-in shield. However, the special thing about this weapon is its versatility: The Oldridian randomly changes element when you reload.
This makes it a real mixed bag, usable against almost anything – as the base damage of the weapon is already quite effective. If you then hit the right element, you will really hurt your enemies. And if not – just keep shooting until the right element comes.
Where do I find the Oldridian? The Oldridian is also a world drop that occurs relatively frequently when you play at a high level. The chances are good that you will come across it while playing through the DLC – give it a try when you find it!
Anarchy
This is the Anarchy: The Anarchy is a shotgun that Gaige players might recognize from Borderlands 2. The huntress had the “Anarchy skill”, which exchanged accuracy for extra damage with kills and when reloading empty magazines, stacking more damage the more you had.
That’s exactly what the new shotgun does – and it adds up to ten times 30% extra damage per stack. So the gun can deal immense damage – but aiming becomes difficult. How strong this new fan favorite is, you can see for example here:
Where do I find the Anarchy? Unfortunately, the Anarchy cannot be farmed directly, as it appears as a world drop. So try to pick it up while exploring the ice planet Xylourgos.
Clairvoyance
This is the Clairvoyance: The Clairvoyance is a Jakobs AR that deals a lot of cryo damage. When you land critical hits with it, additional bombs stick to your enemies and explode shortly after.
If you manage to do this with multiple hits in a row, all will explode simultaneously – causing a lot of damage at once.
Where do I find the Clairvoyance? The weapon is also available as a world drop, but can also be farmed. You have a higher chance of acquiring the weapon at Hammerlock’s Crew Challenge target Kritchy. You can find him in Cursehaven – this is where you can specifically try to get the Clairvoyance.
Overall, good loot is currently not hard to find. Legendary loot has never been this easy to come by
