Today, on February 29, 2024, the new Campfire Chat for Diablo 4 will take place. The developers want to discuss various new contents of the game, including leaderboards, which fans have been asking about since before the release.
What is this feature all about?
- Leaderboards are a list of the best players in Diablo. In past games, it was about reaching max level quickly or completing the highest rifts.
- In Diablo 4, you will be able to measure your strength in the “Gauntlet,” a dungeon that changes weekly. The faster you are, the higher your rank on the list. Here we explain to you, how exactly leaderboards will work in Diablo 4.
- Originally, the leaderboards were supposed to launch on February 13, but they were postponed – among other reasons “because most players likely aren’t ready anyway.” The upcoming Campfire Chat is intended to provide new information.

What we already know about leaderboards
In order to get on the leaderboard, you need to complete the Gauntlet. The dungeon changes its properties every week but remains identical for the week concerning layout and spawns, so everyone has the same conditions.
The leaderboards are divided into different categories:
- Each class has its own leaderboard, where it competes only against other classes.
- Groups of 2, 3, and 4 players each have their own leaderboards.
- Softcore and Hardcore have their own leaderboards.
- You apparently do not need to have reached level 100, but it is advantageous.
If you manage to reach the top ranks on the leaderboards, you will receive various rewards, including chests with legendary items – at least according to the first images. Mainly, it is about cosmetics like titles and achievements that you can only get in the leaderboards.
Depending on the week, presumably a different class and build will be particularly strong. At the very top, it will then be about details and minor aspects that can make the difference. You can find the best classes and builds for the current Season 3 of Diablo 4 in our Tier List.
