During the weekend, the most popular MMORPG on Steam was the action MMO Bless Unleashed. The game is currently still in beta but has already achieved record numbers on Steam, surpassing established games like ESO and FF14.
How is Bless Unleashed performing on Steam? Last weekend from May 13 to May 17, 2021, you could play the beta version of Bless Unleashed on PC for the last time.
This opportunity was taken advantage of by many players. A lot of players! The peak number of concurrent players reached an impressive 44,769 players. That is a lot and makes the competition look pale in comparison. For comparison:
- FF14 brought in around 34,000 players to the servers
- ESO had about 30,000 players at its peak during this time

What is Bless Unleashed? Bless Unleashed is a new game set in the same world as the infamously failed Bless. Unlike its unfortunate predecessor, Bless Unleashed plays faster and is more enjoyable for players.
What are the features? The current popularity of Bless Unleashed is at least partly due to the special features of the game:

- Tough dungeon bosses that appear from the very beginning
- Challenging open world bosses
What do the players say? On reddit, there is feedback from players explaining what they like about the game:
- The fast-paced combat
- The dodge rolls that work particularly well here

- Overall performance of the game
What is still in need of improvement: Among other things, the following is criticized:
- PvP content comes too late in the level range
- Asynchronous lip movement in NPCs
- Bosses that wander out of their boss zone and immediately reset their health when followed
- Not all races can play all classes, and only humans have all customization options during character creation.
However, the current version is still in beta, and many improvements are expected before the release.
