In Blade & Soul, the high costs for weapon upgrades and enhancements cause some frustration among players, as the materials needed for improvements have thus far been quite difficult to obtain. Therefore, the developers have shown mercy and plan to reduce the costs.
In Blade and Soul, the martial arts MMO from NCSoft, new weapons are not constantly being created. Instead, you can continuously upgrade and enhance your beloved weapon, but this requires particularly rare upgrade materials – and not a small amount. The result has been quite annoying grinding, which has not been enjoyable for many players.
The developers at NCSoft listened to the players’ criticism, and therefore the next update for Blade & Soul is set to reduce the gold and material costs for upgrading Silverfrost weapons by 30 percent. However, this will not apply to “Flawless Weapons”.

In addition to the discounted Silverfrost upgrades, a completely new upgrade path will be introduced, for which we only need a sacrificed weapon, Silverfrost refinement stones, and faction insignias. The additional costs for this path are also 50 percent cheaper. A detailed list of all costs and more information about the new system can be found on the official Blade and Soul page from NCSoft. Unfortunately, a date for the relevant update is not yet available.
