In Blade & Soul the Week of the Nightblade is currently taking place – better known as the Assassin.
Quick Strikes, Precise Attacks
Every MMORPG has that one class that is hated by all others. Typically, it has high damage output and the ability to sneak across the battlefield completely unseen. What is known as “Rogue” in other games is the Nightblade in Blade & Soul, or the original name is the Assassin. Quick and merciless, it strikes and then disappears back into the shadows before anyone even notices it was there.
The Nightblade, like the Blade Master, has two different stances that allow for different abilities. The Stealth Stance allows the use of Stealth (who would have thought …) and grants abilities to deal high damage quickly. In the Decoy Stance, things change a bit, and the Nightblade can primarily stun enemies, deal multiple poison charges, set traps, or even knock down foes.
However, the Nightblade is not a character that reacts skillfully to opponents. Wise planning ahead is the key to success, as once the enemy has taken aim at her, the sneaky character will quickly be extinguished. Especially in dungeons, this class must be careful not to steal aggro from tanking allies.
