In the MMORPG Black Desert, a new patch was released on September 25th, completing the overhaul of the crafting skills. We reveal to you how the new equipment works.
What has changed? The new patch not only brought a large event chain but also the new Manos Master Equipment for craftsmen. This consists of clothing and accessories that significantly improve your crafting skills.
The crafting skills include:
- Gathering
- Processing
- Fishing
- Hunting
- and many other “professions”.
Already with the patch on September 4th, the crafting skills were revised. Now the overhaul is complete and you can earn new advantages. The innovations were already introduced in Korea in the summer of 2018.
What advantages are there now for craftsmen? With the new system, you not only improve your crafting skills but can also achieve new mastery levels.
These masteries bring you advantages such as:
- The processing of materials in mass production
- Gatherers find rare items more often and generally receive more loot
- Fishers find a new orange fish
Each crafting skill receives an extra bonus, which depends on your mastery level. The mastery, in turn, consists of several components and is somewhat more complicated.
How to achieve maximum mastery
How does the new mastery work? Mastery consists of three values:
- Your crafting skill level (Beginner, Apprentice, Journeyman, etc.)
- The bonus effects of Manos equipment
- The bonus effects of Manos tools or stones
For reaching Guru 50 in a crafting skill, you receive 800 mastery. With that, you already achieve the first bonus effects but are still far from the maximum. There is up to 2,000 mastery per crafting skill.
How do I get the Manos equipment? To gain more mastery, you first need the new Manos equipment:
- The accessories enhance the mastery of all crafting skills
- For the armor (one item per crafting skill) there is a specific piece.
The respective equipment must be upgraded to PEN after crafting if you want to receive the maximum bonus. You will receive:
- 400 mastery for a PEN armor
- 150 mastery for the PEN necklace
- 150 mastery for the PEN belt
- 125 mastery for the PEN ring
- 125 mastery for the PEN earring
Since the entire Manos equipment is very expensive, you should first focus on crafting the accessories.
How do I reach the maximum in mastery? In addition to the equipment, you also need the appropriate tool or Manos stone for processing.
These also increase the mastery once more. If you want to reach the maximum, you need a high crafting skill and the right equipment.

What else is coming in 2019? With the patch on September 25th, the second to last point of the roadmap for summer 2019 has officially been ticked off. The seafaring expansion, which aims to enhance experiences at sea, is still missing.
When this will come is currently still unknown.
