In The Elder Scrolls Online offers various cool pets and companions in the shop. Currently, there are two magnificent ravens that can sell you items or give you access to your bank at any time. However, the birds are expensive, and many players have already gotten the equally cool Alfiq-Khajiit companions who do the same. The dilemma is significant!
What’s up with the ravens? Recently, two new companion pets appeared in the shop. Both are intelligent, talking ravens:
- Baron Rasselfelder is a banker who grants you access to your bank at any time (except in PvP)
- The Krimskramskrämerin, on the other hand, is a merchant where you can buy and sell items at any time (except in PvP).
Both companions can be summoned at any time and will offer their services to you and your group. This is especially useful when you want to quickly clear your inventory or if you have run out of essential items like soul gems.
How much do the birds cost? Unfortunately, the two pets are not cheap. They cost 5,000 crowns each in the shop, which is about 32 euros! A steep price for a couple of birds.
Players want ravens but have already spent a lot of money on cats
That’s why there’s currently some dissatisfaction among some fans: Nevertheless, such quirky pets and companions are very popular among ESO fans. After all, similar amounts were paid for the two Alfiq-Khajiit Fezez and Ezabi at the launch of Elsweyr, who essentially do the same thing. Fezez sells stuff, Ezabi manages the bank.
Also for the two Khajiit in house cat form, about 30 euros were spent per pet back then and many players are now annoyed that they have to pay so much again for the new ravens. Especially since it seems nobody saw the ravens coming and some players on reddit, who just bought the cats, regret their decision and wish they could have bought the ravens if they had known:
- Stinky_Beans: ‘I wish I hadn’t spent 10K crowns on stupid cats!’
- Fennek688: ‘A few hours ago, my ESO+ was renewed and I invested the free crowns in Fezez because I didn’t know the new banker was coming today. Very annoying.’
- DeliciousEnergyDrink: ‘Seriously, they are so much cooler. I would trade them for my cats immediately. But damn it, I’m not going to pay 10K crowns for a cooler skin with no other function again.’
- Scoyne15: ‘I really wish there was a way to swap the banker/merchant companions. I would also pay a small fee for the exchange. But it’s absolutely not worth paying full price when you already have such companions!’
Since the prices for such companions are indeed very high, it would be really desirable if there was a discount or exchange function for further purchases of such NPCs. Nevertheless, one must acknowledge that the ESO pets and companions are often very well made. There was even a soulless stone that was also well-received, even though it didn’t actually do anything.
