Final Fantasy XIV lets players often choose what they would like to have upon quest completion. And since the player character is known for savoring everything, they have a favorite.
How do rewards work in Final Fantasy XIV? For each completed quest, there is a reward in Final Fantasy XIV: There are always at least experience points for the level grind if the player character has not already reached the maximum level. There are also often a selection of other rewards.
In addition to buff food that temporarily improves the stats of the character, sellable gold coins are often offered as well. In a thread on Reddit, the coins are super popular as a reward, but not because of their selling value:
The player character, the Warrior of Light, is the voice behind the item descriptions in the game. For many absolutely absurd items, at least in English, there are descriptions of how something tastes. And some players now say they prefer the coins so that their Warrior of Light can attempt to eat them once more.
Take what tastes best!
How do players choose their rewards? The Reddit thread, however, is not about the (non) edible coins, of which Reddit user arisencrimsonchaos writes. Others also have slightly absurd reasons and ways of deciding on an item: I always choose the food that can be sold for the most money at the vendors when there is no better item available
, writes MGIBlaze via Reddit.
Aesah, the author of the original post, has turned his method of choosing into a meme. He does not want to choose the reward food that gives the best buffs for his class, but rather the one that sounds the tastiest:
Most players, according to the comments, go for the items that bring them the most money at the market board or to the NPC vendors. A few others, however, write that they consider what their Warrior of Light would like to eat.
Are there other types of rewards? In addition to buff food and coins, there is often enough equipment, minions, or in rare cases, like the completion of an expansion, even mounts. Here, usually, the torment of choice is eliminated: Non-consumable items should presumably be available to every player.
