The developers of Battlefield 6 have given fans a great joy, only to take it away again right after. Now the community is cursing.
What kind of feature was that? The developers of Battlefield 6 announced in an update that the mechanics of experience boosters would change. Previously, the boosters had to be active at the end of the match to receive the multiple EXP.
In the update, however, this was supposed to be changed to real-time calculation. So if the booster runs out in the middle of the match, the experience gained until that point is not lost, but remains boosted.
That would be really good for the players, as experience boosters would become much more useful, especially for long matches. But things are different than expected.

Oops, it was all a mistake!
What happened to the system? The new change that fans really liked was accidentally posted by the developers. The experience boosters would still work as before and there would be no changes.
At the same time, they would like to accept the feedback from fans on the topic and would be happy if they would express their opinions – and that’s exactly what the fans are doing, but not in the way the developers want.
What do the fans say? Those who ask for feedback receive feedback. Fans are upset on Reddit, that the good function has been taken away from them again. There they write:
- Pacyfnativ: “This is the worst PR I’ve ever seen.”
- RadioactiveBroccoli: “And yet people still defend these companies and argue among themselves. Some of you need to wake up. Companies honestly couldn’t care less about consumers.”
- rafioo: “I wrote today that I wouldn’t have expected such a customer-friendly move from EA and that they deserved praise from me. As it turns out, this was obviously a ‘mistake.’ What a mess and what terrible decision-makers. The names of the people who make such decisions should be made public.”
What do you think? Did EA behave wrongly here and should they quickly reintroduce the changes? Or do you find the current functioning of the boosters good? Feel free to write it in our comments!
