The wave of leaks from the alpha of Battlefield 2042 continues. This time, jets and helicopters are in focus. Data miner temporyal has now introduced loadouts for four models.
Where does the information come from? The data miner temporyal regularly shares information about his discoveries from the alpha test files. This took place in mid-August and provided the first insight into Battlefield 2042. And it was significantly larger than expected.
In addition to numerous details about the still secret hazard mode, weapons, and possible system requirements, new information about two jet and helicopter models has also come to light. They show the loadouts for the aircraft.
Equipment for Jets and Helis in Battlefield 2042
What can you use as pilots in combat? On Twitter, temporyal shared an information image (via Twitter). It shows what armament and other equipment are available for 2 American and Russian jets and helicopters each.
Here are the loadouts for the jets:
| Primary | Secondary | Ability |
| 22mm Minigun | Air-to-Air Missiles | Detection Jammer |
| 30mm Minigun | Air-to-Ground Missiles | Flares |
| Homing Missile | System Repair |
Here are the loadouts for the helicopters:
| Primary | Secondary | Ability |
| Autocannon | Tow Missile | Detection Jammer |
| Light Rockets | Air-to-Ground Missiles | Flares |
| Heavy Rockets | Lock-On Homing Missile | System Repair |
| Homing Rockets |
Helis also feature a gunner with a 30mm minigun.
Experienced Battlefield pilots are likely familiar with a large part of this equipment. They correspond to the modern gear that is also known from Battlefield 3 and 4.
As in previous installments, you probably cannot equip everything at once. So far, you could only equip one item from each category.
Other vehicles likely to be found in Battlefield 2042
Which models are known so far? In addition to the aforementioned loadouts, there is also a glimpse into the equipment of a land vehicle, the EBAA Wildcat.
Boats and amphibious vehicles will also receive loadouts, and some have also been unearthed by temporyal. These include the following models:
- Christy 6183
- Hovercraft
- FNSS Zaha
- RHIB
- Jetskis
Depending on your position as a passenger on such a vehicle, you can access various equipment like thermal smoke, 40mm grenades, or machine guns.
Some vehicles, like the M5C Bolte, can apparently even lay mines, as seen in a clip from the trailer for Battlefield 2042:
As always, keep in mind that this information is based solely on the data temporyal was able to extract from the alpha test. There is no guarantee that these things will ultimately be the same in the game. However, it looks like the familiar Battlefield system and is likely to be present in-game for the most part.
There is still no official information on this matter. The data miner has also found other vehicles in the data in addition to the loadouts.
In the future, more models will be revealed, and we will provide you with extensive lists.
The open beta will start in September, and then you will have access to the vehicles and aircraft and can try out their equipment for yourself.
When does the open beta start? There is currently no official date. However, everything points to September 22. Several insiders have mentioned this day as the starting point for early access to the beta.
Only pre-order customers and EA Play subscribers will have access to the early access phase. From September 24, all players should have access to the beta.
