Battleborn – Massive Preissenkung zum Overwatch-Release

Battleborn is getting cheaper! And coincidentally right before the release of Blizzard’s Overwatch.

In the USA, the retail version of Battleborn suddenly became much cheaper. The price dropped today from previously $60 to only $40. Even the deluxe version is affected by the price drop – and this is only 3 weeks after the release.

The reason for the discount of as much as 30 percent is most likely the upcoming release of Overwatch at 1:00 AM on May 24, 2016. Because even though there are significant differences between Battleborn and Overwatch, both titles are vying for the same player base.

With Overwatch launching the open beta coinciding with the competitor’s release, it seems they are now reacting to the price drop.

German prices also affected

The German prices are also affected, on Amazon the PC version in the steelbook costs only €29.97 instead of €49.99! The versions for Xbox One and Playstation 4 are available from €39.97. Only the Steam version is curiously still available for the original price of nearly €50.
