The hero shooter Battleborn will feature a split-screen mode. An open beta will start in 2016 exclusively for the PlayStation 4. Fans of Sony’s console will also receive an exclusive hero.
At the PlayStation Experience, GearBox also made an appearance and introduced the hero shooter Battleborn. They know how much players are excited about the big franchises like Borderlands, but they hope that fans are also interested in something new and fresh – namely, Battleborn.
They emphasized that alongside the game’s PvP mode, they also offer a large campaign with the possibility to play cooperatively. This will be created by the “Borderlands” team and will have the typical “over the top” humor. And in couch co-op, in split-screen mode, you can experience all of this as well.
As a bonus for PlayStation 4 players, they announced an exclusive open beta for them “early in 2016” and an “exclusive character” that only PlayStation players of Battleborn will experience at release.
Battleborn is also announced for PC and Xbox One. The release date is on May 3.
