A recently discovered way to become virtually untouchable
in this complex world comes from a player who raised their armor class to an incredible 31 and thus became practically invincible

Player cranks their armor class up so high that they become almost unbeatable
The player Yervax has shared their method with the community on Reddit. By skillfully combining items, they pushed their armor class (AC) so high that attacks are almost ineffective against them.
This is how their armor class builds up:
- + 17 base armor from the chest
Armor of Agility
- + 5 dexterity, also from the chest
- + 4 from the shield
- + 1 from
Ring of Protection
- + 1 from
Cloak of Protection
- +1 from
Evasive Shoes
- +1 from
Troubadour’s Wonder

How to get the items
Ring of Protection
: The ring is particularly strong but really tricky to get. To do this, you need to steal the idol of Sylvanus, which is located at coordinates X: 252, Y: 517 in the Emerald Grove – in the sacred pool of the grove. You will then receive the reward from Mol.
Note that the druids are hostile towards you and act aggressively towards tieflings if you steal the idol without a certain method. We reveal a trick that you can use here. But I wouldn’t recommend the trick in Honour Mode since you can’t reload the game and thus only have one attempt, which can go very wrong.
Cloak of Protection
: You can easily buy the cloak in Act 2, namely in front of the inn At the Last Light
from the quartermaster Talli.
Evasive Shoes
: You can also buy the shoes at the inn At the Last Light
in Act 2 from the tiefling boy Mattis. However, this is only possible if you saved the tieflings in Act 1 beforehand.
Wondrous Gloves
: You can already obtain the gloves in Act 1 at the Grymforge. They drop there in a hideout from a Mimic.
Protective Band
: The spell is a good buff for your team. With the protective band, the target receives a bonus to saving throws, resistances, and +1 to the armor class. Clerics can cast the 2nd-level spell. Additionally, there are two rings in Act 2 that allow you to cast the spell with any class.
Armor of Agility
: You can buy the chest piece in Act 3 from Gloomy Fentonson in the Undercity.
Shield: You can loot the shield in Hope’s House of Hope if you decide to kill her.
With an impressive armor class of 31, Yervax has solved the challenges of Baldur’s Gate 3 in a creative way. This is once again a good example of the almost endless possibilities in Baldur’s Gate 3 to prepare for battle.
