There are games to test again and fresh air in the MMORPG sector! Intrepid Studios announced at PAX East that the newcomer MMORPG Ashes of Creation will go into “Alpha One” by the end of the year.
Ashes of Creation is a fantasy MMORPG in development – and perhaps the western MMORPG we have all been waiting for. Currently, only Alpha Zero is playable for a small group of people. However, Alpha One is set to launch by the end of the year – where anyone who pays can participate.
What is there to know about the Alphas of Ashes of Creation?
What is Ashes of Creation? Ashes of Creation is an MMORPG in a fantasy setting. It aims to take the genre back to its roots while also elevating it. Choose one of a total of 64 classes to join a guild in the vast game world and explore and conquer the world.
What is Alpha One about? The first phase of Alpha One focuses on battles, sieges, and warfare. The testing of the combat system is the priority. It is designed for large numbers of players to participate in battles simultaneously.
How do I get into Alpha One? To guarantee participation in Alpha One, you only need to support the studio. Backer packages are available in the official Ashes of Creation shop. The package that includes access to Alpha One currently costs $500.
Can I play the game now? In principle, yes. Ashes of Creation is currently in Alpha Zero, where mainly technical aspects are tested. Through “Friends & Family Tests”, giveaways on Twitch, or in the community, you might also get access to Ashes of Creation with luck or contacts.
The studio is continuously working on the development of Ashes of Creation and relies on the help of players who are already pre-ordering. The pre-order packages are said to be time-limited and will alternate monthly. It is still uncertain whether access to Alpha One will permanently be available (only) in the $500 package.
