What’s going on in Pokémon GO? Since today, April 23rd, you’ll find Grunts, Bosses, and even Giovanni from Team GO Rocket again in Pokémon GO. They were disabled on April 10th due to an error and have been untraceable since then.

Grab this box: When you open Pokémon GO now, you will find a new box at the top of the shop. This box is styled entirely in the dark theme of Team Rocket. It contains 30 Poké Balls and a Rocket Radar. You can pick up the box for free. This is the first part of the compensation for the absence of Team GO Rocket in recent days.
A bonus event with Zapdos: In recent days, you had no chance to defeat Giovanni and secure Crypto-Zapdos. To give you another chance for this Pokémon encounter, a bonus event will take place for this purpose.

What does Niantic say? On Twitter, the Niantic team addresses the players and thanks them for their patience. It is reported that you can now encounter and battle Team Rocket in the game again. We can confirm this on MeinMMO.
Players are asking Niantic on Twitter how it looks with another serious bug. “I’m sitting here with 3 potential best friends and 3 potential Hyper Friends just waiting for the Lucky Egg to work again,” writes trainer Lori Perez.

Why was Team Rocket absent?
This was the problem: Trainers noticed that their game froze when starting encounters with Team Rocket. The freezing caused the app to crash. Apparently, so many trainers on Android and iOS had these problems that the nasty opponents were completely disabled in the game.
This followed: It was unclear how long Team Rocket would stay away from Pokémon GO. Days after their disappearance, trainers grew restless and complained that they couldn’t level up. Because for level 45 in Pokémon GO, you must battle with Team Rocket.
