FromSoftware’s latest action game Armored Core 6 offers some challenging battles. We show you an overview of all bosses and how to defeat them.
Armored Core 6 Fires of Rubicon (AC6) is the latest action game from FromSoftware. The Japanese development studio is known for its challenging boss fights in games like Elden Ring, Dark Souls, and Bloodborne. But you can also expect some tough confrontations in AC6.
You can see which boss enemies await you in Armored Core 6 in the overview below. The bosses are listed in the order in which you encounter them in the game.
AH12 HC Helicopter
What kind of boss is this? The HC Helicopter is, as the name suggests, a large and heavily armed helicopter that awaits you at the beginning of the game as a tutorial boss at the end of the first mission.
How do you defeat the HC Helicopter? The flying monstrosity is armed, among other things, with a rocket launcher, with which it can be particularly dangerous over long distances and can deal high splash damage.
You should therefore try to get as close to the helicopter as possible using the various cover options so that you are not constantly preoccupied with dodging.
In addition, you should try to fill the gauge above the boss’s health bar. Once the gauge is filled, you deal more damage. To fill the gauge, you need to perform successful attacks. According to the YouTuber “Born 2 Game”, the gauge fills particularly quickly with your melee attack (via YouTube).
Moreover, you should stay as mobile as possible during the entire fight. Avoid standing still and shooting at the helicopter with your ranged weapons – it will punish you mercilessly.
HA-T-102 Juggernaut
What kind of boss is this? The Juggernaut is a massive tank that moves on tracks and has a massive steel shield on the front that makes most of your weapons seem obsolete. As if that wasn’t enough, the Juggernaut aims to dismantle you with explosive attacks or simply run you over.
How do you defeat the Juggernaut? From behind. Since you can deal virtually no damage to the tank from the front, you should try to get around it. The best way to do this is to jump over it and land behind it.
With two shotguns or two rocket launchers, you can then effectively try to fill the stagger gauge above the boss’s health bar in order to deal more damage. Alternatively, the YouTuber “Oroboro” recommends using two plasma rifles, the Vvc-760PR, as they deal high damage (via YouTube).
AA P07 Balteus
What kind of boss is this? Balteus is again a flying and very agile opponent who has a shield that protects him from your attacks and is controlled by a mech in the middle. In phase 1 (more than 50% health), he attacks with rocket fire and in phase 2 (less than 50% health) additionally with a flamethrower.
How do you defeat Balteus? You should try to act at close range against Balteus again. In addition to your melee attack, shotguns are also a good option here. Once you have “destroyed” Balteus’s shield, it is temporarily deactivated. During this time, you can fill the gauge above the health display to block the boss’s attacks and inflict increased damage.

EC-0804 Smart Cleaner
What kind of boss is this? The Smart Cleaner is not just a vacuum robot that helps you clean your apartment, but a huge machine with glowing arms.
How do you defeat the Smart Cleaner? You defeat the Smart Cleaner most easily by hovering in the air for as long as possible and thereby avoiding its dangerous ground attacks. It can indeed be helpful to attack from a greater distance and avoid being cornered. Aim for the glowing opening on the top of the Smart Cleaner in your attacks.
IA-13 Sea Spider
What kind of boss is this? The spider-like machine is an enemy you must defeat at the end of chapter 2, and it torments you with a variety of different attacks.

How do you defeat the Sea Spider? In the fight with the Sea Spider, you should try again to fight at close range while remaining as agile as possible. AA-602 CATAPHRACT
What kind of boss is this? The CATAPHRACT is a tracked tank controlled by a mech in the center of the construct and comes with a huge arsenal of different weapons.
Moreover, the CATAPHRACT is surprisingly fast and particularly dangerous at long distances. Since the fight takes place in open area without many cover options, the CATAPHRACT can make optimal use of its speed and strong ranged weaponry.
How do you defeat the CATAPHRACT? In the fight with the CATAPHRACT, you should try to keep the distance between you and the steel monster as short as possible.
If you are close, focus your attacks on the mech in the center of the CATAPHRACT, that is its weak spot and gives you the opportunity to fill the stagger gauge above the health bar, allowing you to deal more damage afterward.
