A new patch is coming to ARK Survival Evolved on PC. The update is numbered v260 and is expected to be larger. There will be new content, more bug fixes, and optimizations.
Update June 30, 2017: The ARK patch 2.60 was scheduled for Monday, and it was deployed today, Friday. Here are the patch notes for 2.60. The “most striking new feature” is this saber-toothed tiger. Players are already complaining on Reddit that Quetzal now has clipping issues. There also seems to be a bug with the “boss tributes.” This is already being heavily discussed on Reddit. The new accelerated patch rhythm seems to bring some friction for ARK.

The update contains more bug fixes and optimizations. Just last week patch v259 was released, which brought a lot of bug fixes to Ark. Studio Wildcard apparently is not stopping here and is fixing even more issues in the game.
The following has been announced in Stieglitz’s tweet for patch v259:
- New Tek technologies
- New saber-tooth
- More bug fixes
- More optimizations
- Rebalances
The update v259 is scheduled for Monday, June 26. When this patch will come to PS4 and Xbox One is still uncertain.
Ark v260 – Patch notes are not yet available
So far, there are no official patch notes available for patch v260. The last major update also came with some delay.
With the many fixes, optimizations, and balance changes recently, one can strongly assume that Studio Wildcard is preparing for the full release of Ark Survival Evolved:
