The Bloodstalker in ARK Genesis is a very special creature. It clings to you like an exoskeleton, you can climb anywhere and move quickly from A to B. Taming the Bloodstalker is not easy, we will tell you how to get one of these riding spiders.
Among the new dinos, the Giant Tortoise is one of the favorites of many players, but the Bloodstalker is the most mobile. Its long legs allow it to reach anywhere, and moving at great heights is also no problem thanks to the spider threads.

The Bloodstalker resides in the tall trees of the Swamp Biome in Genesis. Although the area is one of the easiest in the DLC, there are still some dangers here, like the intrusive swarms of insects. If you look to the tops of the trees, you can see the Bloodstalker hanging on thick branches, waiting for its prey.
Collect your blood and tame the Bloodstalker with it
Before you approach a Bloodstalker, you will need some blood packs. To create a blood pack, you must craft an infusion. For each infusion, you only need:
- 10 Leather
- 1 Chitin or Keratin
Make about 200 of these and use them to drain your own or your friends’ blood. But be careful! The blood pack only lasts in your inventory for 30 minutes, and when you drain the blood, you lose 25 health points. You will need to sacrifice about 5000 health points to get the required amount of blood packs – hardly feasible alone.
A little trick: Go to a safe place, drain your own blood until you die and repeat the whole process after respawning.
What now? Once you have collected enough blood packs, place them in your food slot and go under the location of the Bloodstalker. It will pull you up with its threads to drain your blood. Instead of your blood, the blood packs will be drained now, and the taming process will begin.
