Defeating the final boss in ARK Genesis is no child’s play. We’ll tell you how to take down the Master Controller and what you need for it in our guide.
To reach the final boss in the dino hit ARK Genesis, you first need to complete enough missions. Only then will you have proven worthy enough to challenge the final boss and escape the simulation. The “Master Controller” is stronger than the first underwater boss Moeder.
You should take the following for the final boss
To be well prepared for the boss fight, you should take a few items:
- A few TEK weapons, as they will break during the fight
- About 250 to 500 TEK grenades and a few grenade launchers
- Several thousand rounds of TEK ammunition. 5000 should be enough
- Medical brews to heal your wounds
- Many high-bred dinos
- A few friends
The TEK weapons and grenades not only deal good damage, they primarily cause area damage. This is extremely important, as corrupt avatars will keep appearing during the fight to attack you. You can take dinos into the boss fight, but not via cryopods.
How to defeat the Genesis final boss
To get to the boss fight, start the last mission “The Final Test” of the Arrival Protocol on your HLN-A drone. It will take you to the Master Controller, who is already waiting for you.
The boss fight takes place in various phases, all of which follow a similar pattern.
Phase 1-3:
- Kill corrupt avatars to obtain key codes
- Deposit 80 key codes
In the first phase, you fight against a multitude of corrupt avatars. They drop key codes that you must collect. Just run over them and then store them at the terminal. Once you have deposited 80 codes, Phase 2 begins, and the fun repeats until Phase 4.
Phase 4:
- Kill corrupt avatars to obtain key codes
- Deposit 40 key codes
Phase 4 is chaotic. You need to destroy corrupt avatars again to deposit the codes. Once you have collected 40, the Master Controller will become vulnerable, but only for a short time. You repeat this process until you have defeated the Master Controller.
The corrupt avatars spawn continuously. Keep your back covered, or you’ll meet your end quickly.
These are the rewards
At the end of the fight, you receive 15 extra levels, TEK engrams, and trophies. There is also a cutscene that continues the wild ARK story.
