AOV Tier List – September 2017
This overview list is based on a forum post by FeedingSand. The heroes have been categorized based on their popularity among professional players represented in the highest rankings.
The heroes are categorized from extremely strong “S+” descending to the weakest heroes in category “D.” Here, S+ stands for heroes that are currently so strong that a hotfix with nerfs is needed. In the D category, there are heroes that should be avoided because they are weak at this time.
Explanations of the Categories – Descending from “strong” to “weak”
- S+
These heroes stand in the highest category because their ratios, base damage, or mechanics are extremely strong. As opponents, these characters feel almost “unfair”.
- S
Good heroes that are present in almost all high-ranked matches. They have a strong influence on the game outcome.
- A
Here you will find strong heroes who can manage well on their own and are not dependent on the help of other heroes to be effective.
- B
In this category, the heroes are “strong but not excessive.” The selection does not seem “unfair” to opponents but still contributes a lot to the game.
- C
Heroes in this tier level have little reason to be played. There are significantly better options in the upper categories. If you enjoy playing heroes from this tier, you should be aware of their weaknesses.
- D
Unplayable. Heroes from this category should only be chosen if you want a challenge. You make it hard for your team to win. Your skills with these heroes need to be particularly developed if you want to “achieve something” with them.
