What it’s about: MMOs and multiplayer games are dynamic and change through regular updates right before our eyes. There are significant fluctuations in the popularity of certain MMO genres:
- Some new genres experience a steep rise in popularity and fight their way to the top of the charts.
- Others “go out of fashion” or disappear completely into oblivion.
- However, there are also MMO and multiplayer genres that fought for their place years ago and have remained popular since.
There are regular significant changes in this field and these changes are also reflected in our gaming libraries. Therefore, we want to know from you whether and how your genre preferences have changed in recent years.
So tell us:
- What genres are you currently playing the most?
- What did you play the most 2 years ago? What about 5 years ago?
- Has your taste changed over time, or have you stuck with the same genre? What are the reasons for that?

Keep in mind that the games in the brackets next to the genres are only examples meant to represent them. You don’t have to have played exactly these games, but something in that direction.
