In the MMORPG ArcheAge, the return of dragons is coming with the next update – and you can even tame the scaly creatures and use them as mounts.
Having a dragon by your side can be quite useful. Not only can you move through the skies on the lindwurm, it even breathes fire on your enemies. You will experience what that feels like in ArcheAge with the next update. However, there are several things to consider when taming and riding a dragon.
This is how you get your dragon
- You need the item “Dragon Heart Fragment”, which you receive after defeating the Red Dragon
- You bring the “Dragon Heart Fragment” to a Daru Priest in Marianopel, Austera, or Freienich
- You will receive a quest to find additional items to craft one of three dragon hearts
- A Red Dragon hatches from the Flame Pulse Heart
- A Green Dragon hatches from the Wind Song Heart
- A Black Dragon hatches from the Earth Roar Heart
- Get another Scroll of Eternal Flame. This allows you to raise a rideable dragon together with one of the hearts
- To grant powers to the dragon, you need to gather many magic enhancers
- After some time, you can pick up your grown dragon at the Dragon Trainer and fly it
- After 30 days, you must renew your loyalty to your dragon with another Scroll of Eternal Flame
Dragons are the ideal companions
Dragons have many abilities that go beyond flying. These include:
- Dragon Breath, which varies depending on the color of the dragon
- Flight for five minutes at a time
- Whirlwind, which pushes back enemies
- Dragon Roar, which forces almost everything nearby to land
- Storm Wings allow you to fly faster for ten seconds
So it’s worth having a dragon as a mount. You can get this with ArcheAge 4.5 “Return of the Legends”. The update will be released on April 5
