ArcheAge: Crashes delay server opening for reboot with 3.0 [Update]

Today, a major reopening should take place at ArcheAge . There are issues.

Today, the launch of ArcheAge 3.0 Revelation is scheduled, the servers were down for 12 hours of maintenance.

At 4:00 PM on Saturday afternoon, the ArcheAge servers with Revelation were supposed to reopen. They were gradually supposed to go back online. However, this was already delayed by half an hour to 4:30 PM. Later, Trion Worlds added another half hour, extending it to 5:00 PM. Shortly after 5:00 PM, the first servers actually started with Leviathan, Siroth, and Anthalon – and crashes followed.

As it happened in the past, the opening video froze for players. Many then closed the window and broke off. Trion Worlds advises to watch the entire films instead of escaping beforehand. Watching the film in its entirety reduces the chances of a crash.

If you are receiving crashes, wait through the opening movies instead of escaping through. Waiting reduces the likelihood of a crash.

At 5:13 PM, Trion Worlds announced they would wait before opening more servers until the issues are under control. At 5:44 PM, Trion Worlds cautiously reported via Twitter some initial progress: They had changed something and were now registering significantly fewer crash reports. At 5:49 PM, they announced: This looks good, we will now open Eanna and Dahuta. By 6 PM, two more servers, Shatigon and Kryposa, had been opened. The restart server Prophecy is still missing.

At 6:20 PM, it states: We are still waiting for final results before we open “Prophecy.” It should happen by 6:35 PM. 

7:00 PM: Everything went well, according to Trion Worlds. Revelation has been implemented – everything fits. Prophecy has immediately a queue – it is well-attended.

Fresh Start Server Prophecy – Only with “young” accounts

ArcheAge is very “front-heavy” – in the first hours after a major change, often the course for the further development is set. In the past, there had often been difficulties at major events when many players simultaneously flooded the servers. In September 2015, the “restart” had to be aborted early and repeated at a later time.

There are a total of 9 EU servers. Especially exciting should be the opening of the “Fresh Start Server” Prophecy. Only accounts created after December 8 are allowed to participate, according to an FAQ from Trion Worlds.
