The second season of Arcane takes place significantly later than the first. A new teaser shows how the successful animated series continues.
Hardly any series has made such a massive impact as Arcane, the animated adaptation of League of Legends. The story around Jinx, Vi, and the major conflicts between the technological metropolis of Piltover and the suffering undercity has captivated millions of viewers.
The end of season 1 left many fans feeling empty, as they were eager to know what happens next. Soon the wait will be over – and a new teaser shows fresh footage from the second season.
What was shown now? The teaser trailer above was recently released and shows a few new images from the upcoming season. Even though much of the footage is already from the first season, there are some hints in the new images about what has changed in the world of Arcane in the meantime.
What do the images show? In one picture, we see Vi and Caitlyn, both wearing the armor of the Enforcers from Piltover – so Vi has presumably moved away from her life in the undercity and joined the protectors of the city to defend it against enemies or at least hopefully bring an end to the ongoing conflict with the undercity.
However, interesting is the red-haired young woman on the far left of the image. By her appearance, she could be Marcus’s daughter, whom we only briefly saw in the first season and who is now following in her father’s footsteps. Back then, she was still a small child, so about 10 years must have passed between the seasons. A specific indication will surely be provided when the series finally starts.

This is how the community is discussing: The small teaser is already causing a lot of discussions within the community under the YouTube video. Because although it only lasts a few seconds, the creators have hidden numerous details in the images again.
For instance, the user brunoaguiar251 noted that the back view of Jinx, who is slowly walking over the bridge, holds a particular detail. Because Jinx’s shadow is not her own – but Vi’s. This likely symbolizes that Vi is always close behind her former sister.
When does Season 2 of Arcane start? You can watch the second season starting in November on Netflix. A specific release date is not yet known – just as it is unclear in what rhythm the new episodes will be released. For the first season, 3 episodes were always released simultaneously, as they formed a story segment together. Whether that will also be the case for season 2 remains to be seen.
