In ARC Raiders there are many quests and one of them sends you to pick up a memento. We will show you where to find the memento and why a bug can prevent you from completing the quest.
What kind of quest is this? The quest is called Majors Footlocker. You will receive it at some point as you progress with the arms dealer “Tian Wen”. Your task is to retrieve a memento from a chest and successfully escape with this item.
The quest is simple as long as you know the location, but some players encounter problems. A bug can prevent you from completing the quest.
Majors Footlocker: Location and problems caused by bugs
Where can I find the chest? The chest is located in the Ruby Residence on the Dam Battlefield map. You can find it in the northwest of the map, specifically in an apartment in one of the buildings. There are three facilities in total, but you need to visit the one on the southwest side.
- Go up the staircase to the second floor and enter the apartment on that floor.
- In the apartment, you then pass by the bed into the next room.
- Now take the entrance on the left side to the next room.
- In this room, you will find a metal chest on a round table that you need to interact with. Pick up the item “Memento von Major Aiva”.
After you have done that, the first step of your mission is complete. Now you just need to successfully extract. If you have also managed that, you must speak with Tian Wen and collect your reward. She will give you the blueprint for the “Shellbreaker” ammunition for the eponymous rifle against the ARC.
This is how the quest goes optimally, but there are some players who report a bug that makes completing the quest impossible.
How does the bug occur? This usually happens when you are eliminated with the memento from your inventory. After that, you have no chance to interact with the chest again. That sounds disappointing at first, but there are two ways you can work around the bug.
Can I avoid the bug? Partially and with a bit of luck, you can avoid the bug. There are two possibilities:
- You visit the chest with a friend who has just started the quest. Let him open the chest and you can interact with it as well.
- You jump around in front of the chest and try to spam the interaction button. With a bit of luck, the chest will open for you and you can continue with the quest.
