In ARC Raiders, a player behaved like a rat, but attracted the wrath of the other players.
What does rat mean? In extraction shooters like ARC Raiders or Escape from Tarkov, there is the so-called rat playstyle. Players camp at exits or popular spots in impossible places, waiting the whole round for another player to come so they can surprise and take them out.
This is exactly what happened to Reddit user Blanket7e in ARC Raiders. He was calling for the elevator when another player opened fire on him, taking him down just before extraction. He only survived the situation thanks to an attack from the ARC and help was not far away.

No one likes rats
How did he survive the situation? Instead of being taken out by the “rat”, a whole group of players came to the player’s aid. While the “rat” was still hiding before the ARC’s attack, the rescuers helped the player back on his feet.
They further asked him who had attacked him, to which the player pointed out the house where the “rat” was holed up. The players stormed the house and took out the “rat” before more players arrived, who humiliatedly surrounded the downed “rat” and shot at the body.
Verbal taunts were also directed at the “rat” and music was played. The clip went viral on Reddit with the title “When the whole lobby wanted a rat gone” and garnered several comments.

What are players saying? Players who have seen the video praise the lobby for handling such players correctly. Helping the innocent and taking a stand against “rats” and PvP has been a significant trend in ARC Raiders since its release.
