Apex Legends rewards you in Season 28 for the 7th anniversary of the shooter with new legends. Here’s how to secure the rewards.
How do you get the newest legend? On February 10, the 28th Season of Apex Legends, the battle royale shooter, kicks off, celebrating its 7th birthday a few days prior. To celebrate the occasion, the season update introduces an anniversary event that gives you some gifts.
During the event, you can unlock a legend permanently each week by successfully completing three challenges. Among the legends you can unlock during the event is the newest legend: Sparrow, who was released in May 2025 with Season 25.
- In week 1, there is Valkyrie
- In week 2, there is Revenant
- In week 3, there is Conduit
- In week 4, there is Sparrow
If you want to unlock Sparrow or other legends through the event, you must complete the three imposed challenges within the respective week.
What is the highlight of the season? The major innovation of Season 28 is the so-called Hardlight Meshes. These are windows that are meant to bring a new gameplay dynamic.
Players can see through these windows, but cannot shoot through them. However, you can completely destroy them if you deal enough damage – this works with any firearms, but explosives, sniper rifles, shotguns, and melee attacks dismantle the windows faster.
Additionally, controllers can repair or even reinforce them, making them more durable than in their standard state.
What else does the season bring? With Season 28, there will also be a new weapon meta that strengthens shotguns in focus. Additionally, there are balancing updates for Bloodhound, Fuse, and Catalyst.
Moreover, in Bot Royale the XP limits will be lifted, allowing you to level up even more. However, the bot difficulty will be slightly increased, posing a greater challenge for players with low to medium skill.
