Sometimes it is not enough to just kill your opponents. You also have to look good while doing it. In Elden Ring, you do this best with a pizza cutter. Well, probably more like a hellish pizza cutter, but the shape is unmistakable.
What kind of weapon is this? Ghiza’s Wheel is a colossal weapon in Elden Ring that scales with strength and dexterity. The weapon is shaped like a pizza cutter: you hold it by the long shaft and at the top is a blade with teeth – similar to Whirligig Saw from Bloodborne.
The blade at the top can be made to spin with the right attacks, making it a kind of circular saw – or rather a pizza cutter. It may look a bit silly, but it’s extremely useful.
To wield it, you need 28 strength and 18 dexterity, which is why the rag is especially suitable for strength builds. Despite its rather poor scaling (D each), Ghiza’s Wheel is still worth it because of its special effect.
How strong is Ghiza’s Wheel? The weapon’s attacks already deal significant damage. However, if you activate the saw function, you can build up a bleed on the opponent that grows almost endlessly.
This ability makes Ghiza’s Wheel especially useful against large enemies like dragons, which you would otherwise have to chew through for a long time. The wheel can’t kill bosses in 2 hits, but it can take out annoying enemies quite easily.
If you want to use the pizza cutter but have chosen the wrong attributes, you can simply redistribute them. In the guide, we explain to you how to find Larval Tears and redistribute attribute points.
How to Obtain Ghiza’s Wheel
To get the weapon, you basically just need to get to Volcano Manor. The path there is, however, strenuous and demands a lot from you. If you are not kidnapped, you will receive an invitation as follows:
- talk to an NPC east of the fire at Scenic Isle in Liurnia of the Lake
- accept the quest and go to the bandit at Broilpawn Shack, just northwest
- either buy the amulet from the bandit or kill him – for that, you will also receive additional, unique weapons
- bring back the amulet and you will receive an invitation, but you first have to “prove” yourself
- get the first half of the Dectus Medallion at Fort Haight in the east of Limgrave
- the second half is located at Fort Faroth far to the east of Caelid
- there are extremely strong enemies here – if you’re having trouble, get help or use magic
- bring the complete medallion to the Grand Lift of Dectus far to the north of Liurnia
- talk behind the door with the NPC who gave you the quest earlier and who is waiting for you there
You will then be teleported to the manor, where you simply have to follow the stairs up to the dining hall. There you will find a corpse. Loot it, and you will be attacked by a phantom: Inquisitor Ghiza. Kill him, and you will receive his wheel as a reward.
The YouTuber RageGamingVideos shows you in a video how the whole procedure works and how the weapon plays:
With Ghiza’s Wheel, you now have a powerful weapon in hand that has already helped many players with particularly annoying bosses. Plus, the pizza cutter looks amusing and can certainly cause confusion in PvP – even if it may not be suitable for particularly sneaky tactics:
